sites we visit

Austin Dog Alliance pet therapy teams are currently volunteering at over 35 sites in the Greater Austin area. Once a team passes the Delta Society Pet Partner evaluation, we are here to assist in getting you started at a location which fits your skills, interest and availability. Opportunities are available during the work day, in the evenings, or on the weekend. Some sites require weekly visits, some just one hour a month. Whatever your interest, we can help you find the right location for you and your pet partner.

ADA2Schools and LibrariesBow Wow Reading Dogs are working with children in Round Rock ISD, Eanes ISD, Georgetown ISD, Jarrell ISD, Austin ISD and Leander ISD during school hours as part of the child’s reading improvement plan. Some Reading Dog teams volunteer at the Pflugerville, Round Rock, Wells Branch and Leander Libraries on the weekends. Our teams have provided many, many special onetime programs throughout the Greater Austin area.

Hospitals Our teams participate in rounds at Dell Children’s Medical Center, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and Brackenridge Medical Center.
